The disco music is a gender of dance music derived from R & B (rhythm & blues) that blended elements from previous genders like funk and soul, with Latin touches in many cases, and that became popular in dance halls (discos ) in the late 70'.

Many factors that determined the birth of the so-called disco. The first shows us the proper name of this genus: etymologically speaking, disk comes from the word "disco". Consequently, disco music is that it sounds in the clubs. And that's just one of the factors that led to the emergence of this kind of music: the proliferation and popularity of disco in the mid-seventies. Making music for dancing, however, is nothing new. Popular music has always fulfilled the function of entertainment and at the end of the day the swing bands had covered that need decades before.
